TEGV Anadoluhisarı İpek Kıraç Learning Unit
Situated on the shores of the Bosphorus, within a campus deeply intertwined with historical and natural heritage, the idea was to create a space that would inspire children. The TEGV İpek Kıraç Learning Unit was designed not merely as an educational facility, but as a spatial reflection of discovery, collective creativity, and imagination.
The design embraces a layout that harmonizes with the land and preserves the memory of existing trees. Composed of two blocks, the structure is organized around an inner courtyard to support social interaction. With wooden façades, brick infills, and zinc roofing, the architectural language prioritizes environmental sensitivity and long-term durability. Centering on the principle of universal accessibility, the project ensures that all children can benefit equally from the space.
From the Imagination Workshop to the Information and Technology Room, from versatile activity spaces to playgrounds that open to the courtyard—every element tells a design story that reflects the multifaceted nature of learning.
